Tour 30. Bergen - Fana – Os - the roundtrip
This tour takes you to several of the most famous attractions in this area.

Bergen: became a city during the reign of King Olav Kyrre (1066-93). Until the 1830s it was Norway`s largest city, and at one point during the Middle Ages it was the largest in Scandinavia. Bergen is the capital of western Norway and gateway to the fjords. The best-known attractions are the fish market, Mount Fløien and its funicular, Bryggen, Bergen Aquarium and Troldhaugen, Edvard Grieg`s home.
Os district: has a boat beneath a large rose on its coat of arms, symbolising the district`s traditional handicrafts, boatbuilding and decorative rose painting. From the 12th century onwards, Lyse Abbey played a key role in the area`s history. The abbey was consecrated on 10 July 1146 by Bishop Sigurd of Bergen. The district`s beautiful countryside has attracted many people, including the violin virtuoso Ole Bull. In 1872 he had his fairytale villa built on Lysøen in the Lysefjord.
