Fedje – island on the edge of the ocean.

 

Radøy district: "the green island" of Nordhordland. The beautiful, lush landscape of Radøy rolls leisurely and lazily towards the North Sea. Culture is focal on Radøy. The Western Norway Emigration Center is situated at Sletta and relates the story of the thousands of Norwegians who emigrated from Norway to America between 1836 and 1924.

 

Fedje: island on the edge of the ocean. Fedje, or Feie as the locals pronounce it, lies braodside to the ocean and is Norway's westernmost municipality. Fedje is the sea-angler's paradise. On Fedje you can experience the ocean at close hand, and more and more people are discovering this jewel at the mouth of the fjord, with its exciting nature and traditions.
