Tour 22. Hardanger - Røldal - the roundtrip
The Sørfjord is the arm of the Hardangerfjord where the contrast between fertile countryside and permanent snow is greatest.

Odda district: bordered by the Folgefonna glacier to the west and the Hardangervidda plateau to the east and south. Of its total area of 1,648 km2, largely mountain and glacier, 90% is over 600 m above sea level. The district is superbly situated for outdoor activities.
Ullensvang district: covers the eastern and western sides of the Sørfjord and the Oksen peninsula, with fruit-growing and tourism as the main industries. Ullensvang is Norway`s principal fruit-growing district, where 80% of the country`s cherries are grown, although apples are the main crop. Some 500.000 fruit trees make spring and autumn a unique experience.
