Tour 17. Kvinnherad - the tour
The landscape in Kvinnherad is actually one part of Sunnhordland and one part of Hardanger. The southern half of the community features the typical Sunnhordland landscape with lush pine forest, numerous islands, skerries and idyllic inlets and sounds. In the north you find higher mountains with typical U-shaped valleys formed by the ice, narrow fjords, waterfalls, steep mountainsides and actice glaciers.

Kvinnherad Kommune: Kvinnherad municipality - is located in Sunnhordland at the mouth of the Hardanger Fjord. The fjord actually bisects the municipality with a smaller part to the west with the hamlets of Ølve and Hatlestrand, and the larger peninsula with the Folgefonna glacier to the east.
